Shri Mahakal and Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga Trip (27-29 Nov)

Trip dates: on-ground days 27 to 29 Nov 2026. Depart Delhi by train on the evening of 26 Nov (Day 0), arrive back in Delhi/Gurgaon early morning on 30 Nov (Day 4).

Shri Mahakaleshwar and Shri Omkareshwar (Jyotirlinga)

Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga in Ujjain is one of the most sacred Shiva temples in India, and the only Jyotirlinga where Lord Shiva is worshipped as Mahakal, the King of Time. Shri Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga is on the sacred Mandhata Island on the Narmada River in Madhya Pradesh, naturally shaped like the holy symbol Om, and enshrines a Swayambhu (self-manifested) Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva.

Day-wise plan

Day 0: depart Delhi for Ujjain by train (2 AC). You can bring packed dinner or snacks. Train options: NDLS INDB EXP (12416) 21:50 New Delhi, arriving 8:20 Ujjain Jn; MALWA EXPRESS (12920) 20:30 New Delhi, arriving 11:20 Ujjain Jn; NDLS DADN SF EXP (20156) 23:25 New Delhi, arriving 10:20 Ujjain Jn. Preference is given to NDLS INDB EXP (12416); bookings are made based on seat availability.

Day 1

• Pickup by local tempo traveller from Ujjain station; breakfast on the way
• 1 PM: check in at the hotel in Ujjain, lunch at the hotel, then rest
• Evening: Mahakal Lok Corridor (a landscaped 900+ metre corridor with statues, murals and fountains, beautiful in the evening lights) and Kal Bhairav Temple; optional shopping and local sightseeing
• 8 PM: dinner in the market to try local cuisine, then a good night's sleep at the hotel

Day 2

• 4 AM: visit Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga early to skip the rush
• 9 AM: breakfast at the hotel; 10 AM: check out and travel to Indore, lunch on the way
• 2 PM: check in at the hotel in Indore and rest
• Evening (optional): Sarafa Bazaar, a jewellery market by day that becomes an open-air night food market, and Chhappan Dukaan, the street-food strip famous for poha, kachori and sev
• 9 PM: dinner and a good night's sleep at the hotel

Day 3

• 5 AM: visit Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga early to skip the rush
• 9 AM: breakfast at the hotel; 11 AM: check out
• If time permits: Rajwada Palace and Lal Bagh Palace
• Lunch on the way and drop at Indore station. Return by train (2 AC): DADN NDLS SF EXP (20155) 16:00 Indore Jn, arriving 4:25 New Delhi; MALWA EXPRESS (12919) 12:15 Indore Jn, arriving 4:15 New Delhi; INDB NDLS EXP (12415) 17:10 Indore Jn, arriving 6:20 New Delhi. Preference is given to DADN NDLS SF EXP (20155); bookings are made based on seat availability.

Day 4: early morning arrival in Delhi/Gurgaon.

Important points

1. Meals: only the meals included are covered. Any other snacks, meals, beverages, tea or coffee ordered at the hotel or elsewhere are paid separately. Meals on the train are self-paid.
2. Not included: VIP darshan (if required); local commute in Indore and Ujjain by rickshaw, e-rickshaw or auto; the cab to and from the railway station in Delhi/Gurgaon. These are self-paid.
3. Group trip: everyone needs to be accommodating, considerate and flexible. All decisions by the trip captain are made in the interest of the group and not any one individual.

Payment and cancellation

Two ways to book:

• Advance (50%): pay half now to book your slot. The balance is due 15 days before travel, by 11 Nov 2026. Pay the balance directly to Streefit by bank transfer or UPI; Streefit will share the payment details with you.
• Full payment: pay the complete amount now, with nothing further to pay.

In case of cancellation, no refunds are issued. If a replacement is provided, a 100% refund is issued.
