Shri Kedarnath Temple
Kedarnath is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, the first of the 5 Panch Kedars, and part of the Chota Char Dham Yatra. The temple stands in the middle of a wide plateau surrounded by lofty snow-covered peaks. It was originally built in the 8th century A.D. by Jagad Guru Adi Shankaracharya, next to the site of an even earlier temple built by the Pandavas. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is built of extremely large, evenly cut grey stone slabs, with a Garbha Griha for worship and a Mandap for pilgrims. A conical rock formation inside is worshipped as Lord Shiva in his Sadashiva form.

- Meals: only the meals included are covered. Any other snacks, meals or beverages are paid separately.
- Fitness and preparation: this trip is more physically demanding than usual activities. A little pre-trip preparation such as jogging, stretching and breaking in your shoes will help. If you have major knee or back issues, high, low or fluctuating BP, or difficulty breathing at high altitudes, please avoid joining.
- Not a regular vacation: this is not a holiday or luxury retreat. It is about living as a community, following safety protocols, and sometimes roughing it out.
- Group trip: everyone needs to be accommodating, considerate and flexible. All decisions by the trip captain are made in the interest of the group, not any one individual.
- Delays: if the trip is delayed by unforeseen circumstances (weather, vehicle breakdown and so on), any extra cost is borne by the members.
