Participant Waiver and Risk Acknowledgement

This Participant Waiver and Risk Acknowledgement applies to events and activities organised, managed, promoted or facilitated by Feet and Pedals®.
1. Acknowledgement
By registering for or participating in an applicable event, the participant confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to the terms of this Participant Waiver and Risk Acknowledgement.
2. Inherent Risks
Participation in sporting, fitness, cycling, running, endurance and outdoor activities involves inherent and foreseeable risks. These may include, but are not limited to:
- Falls and collisions
- Traffic and road-related incidents
- Injuries caused by participants, spectators, equipment or surroundings
- Dehydration, exhaustion or fatigue
- Weather and environmental conditions
- Medical emergencies or sudden health events
- Serious injury, permanent disability or death
The participant voluntarily accepts the inherent risks associated with participation to the extent permitted by applicable law.
3. Health and Fitness
The participant confirms that they are physically and medically capable of participating in the applicable event. Participants are responsible for seeking appropriate medical advice where necessary.
Participants should not participate if they are unwell, injured, medically advised not to participate or impaired by alcohol, drugs or any substance that may affect safe participation.
4. Safety Rules
Participants must follow event rules, safety instructions, traffic regulations, venue requirements and directions issued by event officials or authorised personnel.
Participants must use required safety equipment and act responsibly throughout the event. Feet and Pedals® or authorised event officials may refuse participation or discontinue a participant's participation where reasonably necessary for safety.
5. Medical Assistance and Expenses
Where an emergency occurs, reasonable medical assistance or emergency treatment may be arranged for the participant where considered necessary.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the participant is responsible for medical, ambulance, hospitalisation, medication and other healthcare-related expenses incurred in connection with participation.
6. Personal Property
Participants are responsible for their personal belongings, bicycles, equipment, valuables and other property brought to the event.
Feet and Pedals® and Nobrand Global are not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal property except to the extent that such liability cannot legally be excluded.
7. Event Changes
Events may be modified, postponed, relocated, suspended or cancelled due to weather, safety concerns, government restrictions, venue or route conditions, operational requirements, force majeure or other circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Any applicable refund, credit or alternative arrangement will be governed by the relevant event-specific terms and Refund and Cancellation Policy.
8. Release
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the participant releases Nobrand Global, Feet and Pedals®, its directors, employees, contractors, volunteers, event officials, partners, sponsors, venue operators and service providers from claims arising from the inherent risks of participation in the event.
Nothing in this acknowledgement excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
9. Photography and Video
Participants acknowledge that photography, video or other recordings may be made during events for event documentation, promotional activities, marketing, website content and social media, subject to applicable law.
10. Participant Declaration
By registering for or participating in an applicable event, the participant declares that they:
- Have read and understood this acknowledgement
- Understand the risks associated with participation
- Are participating voluntarily
- Have provided accurate and relevant information
- Agree to follow applicable event and safety rules
Where the participant is below 18 years of age, participation may require the consent of a parent or legal guardian in accordance with the applicable event requirements.
